WAITING LISTS ARE CLOSED

Village at Westerly Creek (VWC) parts 1 and 2 are senior-designated buildings, for individuals 62+ years of age. There are 110 total units between the two buildings with a mix of 1 and 2 bedrooms. Both buildings have secured entry access with an intercom system for guest access. Additionally, all apartments have emergency sprinkler systems, smoke detectors, and other safety features. Each building has two elevators, community laundry rooms on each floor, and wide hallways.

All units are handicapped accessible, with large kitchens, bathrooms, and pantries. All units have individual temperature controls for heating/cooling, dishwashers, garbage disposals, and individual patio/balcony. All units are SMOKE-FREE. VWC has on-site property management and maintenance, and also a large community room for events and meetings. There are community gardens, a fitness center, and several clubs for participation in activities. Coordinators with our  ECHO program assist seniors in access to services.

The Village at Westerly Creek 1 & 2 are subsidized through HUD project-based voucher assistance. Qualified residents must be no more than 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI) seniors, and must pass criminal background and prior eviction checks. Once accepted into the program, residents pay the greater of 30% of adjusted income, 10% of gross income, or a HUD-designated minimum rent.

Residents are referred to the buildings through a waiting list maintained by the Aurora Housing Authority’s Assisted Housing Department.
