What waitlists are open/When will the waitlist open?

When waitlists are open for the Aurora Housing Authority the announcements can be found at the following link https://www.aurorahousing.org/resources


The waitlist opening will also be announced in the Aurora Sentinel newspaper. You can also go to www.aurorahousing.org , scroll all the way to the bottom of the homepage, there will be a box where you can enter your email address for these announcements to be sent directly to your inbox.

I am homeless, can I get emergency housing?

The Aurora Housing Authority does not provide emergency housing that is not referred through the local Continuum of Care or Victim Service Provider. Below is information in connection with obtaining emergency housing. 

 

Immediate Assistance – If you are looking for shelter, use this link shelter dashboard with information about all the shelter options in the Metro Denver area. 

 

Long-Term Assistance – If you are literally homeless (staying outside, in a car, in shelter), you may qualify for housing services through Coordinated Entry. These services include but are not limited to Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHV). At this time, all EHVs in the metro area have been allocated but there are other housing opportunities as well. You can use this link to visit one of many access points to have an assessment completed to enter the Coordinated Entry System. The access points can assist with another housing opportunities that they are aware of.

How do I update my waitlist application or check my status?

You may log in to the applicant portal at the following link to revise or check the status of your application BY CLICKING HERE


How does the waitlist work?

You will want to refer to the specific announcement for the waitlist to which you are applying. The announcement will have information about program requirements and whether or not the list is a lottery or not.


Can I be on multiple waitlists?

Yes, you may apply for multiple waitlists
