Office Closure Information

Update: February 8, 2021 – Due to the pandemic, AHA offices remain closed to the public.  Staff continue to work remotely and can be reached via email or phone.  Property Management staff continues to limit face to face interactions, please reach out to our property management team via email or phone.  


Update: March 25, 2020 – On March 25, 2020, Tri-County Health issued a Stay at Home Public Health Order for Adams, Arapahoe, and Douglas Counties effective 8:00 AM, March 26, 2020.  Aurora Housing Authority is complying with the order and will close all AHA offices to include the main office and all leasing offices.  During the closure, per tier 4 of our plan, AHA office staff will work remotely to ensure continuity in maintaining essential business functions that includes HAP payments, vendor payments, and emergency work orders.  AHA’s maintenance team will respond to emergencies only.  AHA staff can be reached via phone or email.      

Starting March 16, 2020, for the safety of our staff and the community during the COVID-19 outbreak, all AHA offices will be closed to the public until further notice.  Essential business functions will be performed during the closure.  We will continue to monitor the situation and will post updates here on our website.  We appreciate your understanding during this uncertain time.

Main office: 2280 S. Xanadu Way – The lobby will be closed to the public.  Clients can drop documents off in the drop box located next to the main entrance doors.  The drop box will be checked daily and AHA staff will continue to provide assistance by telephone or email.

All AHA leasing offices: The leasing offices will be closed to the public.  Property Managers will continue to perform essential business functions for the properties with limited face to face interactions.  They will provide assistance via phone and email.

Maintenance work orders: During the pandemic, work orders may be subjected to a triage process to determine the need for immediate, routine or corrective response, depending on the health of our staffing, and the health of the resident.
