Subsidized Housing
In a subsidized housing unit, the monthly tenant payment is generally 30% of the family's adjusted monthly income. The Aurora Housing Authority offers several different options for those seeking subsidized housing.
In order to serve you better, the Aurora Housing Authority Section 8 Program has re-organized effective October 1, 2005. Housing Specialists will no longer have a client alphabet case load; actions will be handled on a task-based system. Workforce Housing
The monthly rent in a workforce housing unit is generally closer to market rent than a subsidized housing unit. However, some of our workforce developments offer two different rent structures depending on income; affordability and market.
